Humanities Foundation is actively searching the South for sites in areas that would benefit from first class affordable housing development. Both raw land and buildings eligible for rehabilitation will be considered. W. Dale Smith

Currently CEO of W.Smith & CO., a marketing services company located in Atlanta, GA, Dale brings over 30 years of management experience in the public and private sectors, including appointments as Commissioner of Commerce and Deputy Secretary of the Commerce Cabinet for the State of Kentucky. He has administered and has first - hand experience in working with federal and state housing agencies.

Charlie Irick 

Charlie Irick, Acquisitions Associate, works in all areas of affordable housing development using Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). His responsibilities include identifying markets, selecting sites, LIHTC application preparation, and building relationships with local governments to meet their affordable housing goals. Charlie has received LIHTCs and Historic Credits funding over $33 million in affordable housing development costs. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business.
