Tracy T. Doran, Board Chair
Tracy Doran, President and Board Chair has been involved in the development of affordable housing for over 20 years and is responsible for financing of all developments which includes commitments for permanent loans and syndication agreements, organizational management and budgets, and development of special projects for fundraising. Tracy served as Chairman of the Mayor's Council on Homelessness and Affordable Housing for the City of Charleston and currently serves on the Board of the Affordable Housing Coalition of South Carolina and on the Public Policy Committe of that organization.
Cheryl Ferraro, Controller
As controller, Cheryl Ferraro oversees the accounting functions at Humanities Foundation and James Doran Company. Cheryl is responsible for financial reporting and for managing all financial systems for the organization. Previously, she worked at the accounting firm of Hyland, Ruddy and Garbett. Cheryl is a member of South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Katy Gerloff - ShelterNet/HPRP Program Coordinator
Katy oversees the Homelessness Prevention program (HPRP) as well as the ShelterNet Program. Katy works directly with many other social service providers throughout the Tri-County in order to seek out and qualify clients for both HPRP and ShelterNet. While doing outreach in the community, she also acts as Case Manager for the HPRP Program, ensuring that clients who are enrolled in the program are setting and eventually meeting their personal goals to help them achieve stable housing. Prior to working at the Humanities Foundation, Katy worked as the Case Manager at East Cooper Community Outreach.
Nicole Peterson - Director of Resident Services
Nicole is a full-time employee who oversees resident services of all the Humanities Foundation’s properties. Nicole works with churches, organizations, and businesses to increase the quality of life of the residents living in Humanities Foundation communities. Prior to joining the organization, Nicole worked with South Carolina Council of Aging, Department of Mental Health, and the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. Nicole has a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Her community activities include active memberships in Big Sisters, Convoy of Hope, and Feeding the Multitudes.
