Total Support Reaches $10,000 as James Doran Company Gives Additional Gift for Eastside Families

Additional support helps provide Thanksgiving meals to families in Charleston’s Eastside.

Humanities Foundation is grateful to announce that James Doran Company has contributed an additional $5,000 to support this year’s Turkey Day Giveaway on Charleston’s Eastside — bringing their total 2025 contribution to $10,000.

This added funding directly supports the November 21 Holiday Turkey & Food Drive, hosted in partnership with Eastside Community Development Corporation and South Carolina State University 1890 Research & Extension Center. The contribution ensures more families in one of Charleston’s most historically underserved neighborhoods will receive Thanksgiving meals and essential groceries.
